#Farm Machinery & Equipment
SATGarden incorporates Italian ARIA technology, completing an integrated frost-protection solution.
The Spanish company expands its product portfolio with ARIA anti-frost towers.
Late frosts continue to be one of the main challenges to the profitability of high-value crops in the Iberian Peninsula. In a context where flowering is occurring earlier and fruit trees are increasingly exposed to cold-weather events, prevention has become a key tool for reducing economic losses and improving decision-making in the field.
To address this scenario, SATGarden has added the Antibrina 3-22 (fixed version) and Antibrina 3-22c (mobile version) anti-frost towers to its product portfolio, after becoming the official distributor for Spain and Portugal of the Italian company Aria Srl. The incorporation of this technology enables SATGarden to offer an integrated solution combining microclimate analysis, risk forecasting and active frost-protection technologies.
From Microclimate Assessment To Active Protection
Through its technology partnership with The Climate Box, SATGarden analyses the microclimatic behaviour of each farm to identify the areas at greatest risk and determine the most appropriate protection strategy.
Based on this assessment, different technologies can be integrated, such as the SIS® system (Selective Inverted Sink)—a technology patented by SATGarden and ideal for sloping terrain—and ARIA's new Antibrina 3-22 towers, adapting the solution to the specific characteristics of each farm.
The tower positioning study is part of the implementation process and is carried out to optimise performance.
Direct Drive: Greater Efficiency, Less Noise
The Antibrina 3-22 towers stand out for their innovative direct-drive system, featuring a permanent-magnet electric motor installed next to the rotor, eliminating gearboxes and mechanical transmissions.
This design makes it possible to move the same volume of air with a power output of just 22 kW, reducing energy consumption and simplifying maintenance.
In addition, their noise level of 46 dB(A) at 300 metres facilitates installation on farms located close to residential areas or other noise-sensitive zones.
SIS System: Active Frost Protection For Sloping Terrain
The SIS system (Selective Inverted Sink) is a technology patented by SATGarden for the active protection of crops against frost, particularly suitable for sloping terrain.
In The Words Of SATGarden
“Our goal has always been to help farmers anticipate risk rather than simply react when the problem occurs. By incorporating ARIA technology, we are taking another step forward and offering a complete strategy that starts with understanding the microclimate of each farm and ends with the most appropriate active protection solution for each individual operation,” says Adrián Giménez, Technical Director of SATGarden.
Montse Navarro, Commercial Director of SATGarden, adds:
“Producers need effective solutions, but they also need a single partner capable of supporting them throughout the entire process. Today, we can offer an integrated service combining analysis, forecasting, consultancy, installation and follow-up, both in Spain, Portugal and Germany.”
With this new commercial representation, SATGarden strengthens its position as a specialist in frost protection, offering a comprehensive solution covering everything from microclimate assessment and risk forecasting with The Climate Box to highly efficient active protection measures through SIS® technology and the new ARIA anti-frost towers.
