A farming family in Northern Europe has achieved an impressive yield of 1.5 kg per strawberry plant using our hanging system with metal gutter and Spacer

For this family, dedicated to agriculture for generations, the goal was to produce strawberries year-round to meet the global demand for this sought-after fruit.

To make this vision a reality, they took the step to install hydroponic greenhouses and opted for the advanced technology from Hydroponic Systems, choosing the Evolution hanging system equipped with a metal gutter and Spacer. In 2023, they reached an outstanding milestone in strawberry production, achieving 1.5 kg per plant of the Malling Ace variety—an achievement that only a few growers worldwide can attain. This yield is possible thanks to a planting density of 8 rows per 9.6-meter bay, allowing each plant to reach its full potential.

These successes add to other achievements previously noted by Hydroponic Systems. In 2022, Mexican farmers observed a 5% increase in tomato production using the Evolution metal gutter system compared to other metal gutters on the market.
