Silos Spain and Arrozúa: A Partnership Built to Last
A Collaboration Rooted in Growth
Since initiating their collaboration in the early 1990s, Silos Spain and the Andalusian cooperative Arrozúa S.C.A. have shared a vision of efficient, high-quality rice processing and handling. Through close cooperation, Silos Spain has supported Arrozúa’s ongoing modernization efforts—from upgrading storage capacities to engineering turnkey conveying systems that adapt as operational demands evolve.
Streamlining Dispatch with a Dedicated Silo
At Arrozúa’s Isla Mayor facility in Seville, the need arose for a dedicated truck-loading solution to accelerate dispatch, reduce handling steps and minimize cross-contamination risk. Silos Spain responded with its 4.58/05 – 60° truck-loading silo, offering 116 m³ of capacity. The silo’s optimized geometry and inlet arrangements ensure rice flows seamlessly from storage directly into waiting trucks, slashing cycle times and simplifying logistics.
Building on Previous Expansions
This latest installation complements a prior capacity expansion during which the company erected six paddy-rice silos and installed a full conveying system. A standout feature of that project was the engineered superstructure supporting the chain conveyors: four robust head towers linked by a long-span, high-rise catwalk of laminated steel profiles, designed to distribute grain efficiently across all silo lines. Together, these enhancements delivered nearly 20,000 m³ of additional bulk storage, further optimizing throughput and operational flexibility.
Looking Ahead
Silos Spain builds on lasting relationships, delivering innovations that grow alongside our clients.
