Massey announces upgrades on mid and high-hp tractors

Tier-2 MF8700S and MF7614 receive new features for improved productivity and comfort

A number of Massey Ferguson’s workhorses will receive a raft of new features such as improved hydraulics, new transmission and touch-screen terminal for a better operating experience.

The new Tier-2 versions of the high-horsepowered MF 8700S series of tractors are now available on indent orders and offer more reliability, more servicing accessibility and more dedicated storage space, Massey Ferguson said.

Some upgrades on the MF 8700S range, which ranges from 300 to 370hp, include:

More powerful hydraulics

The new hydraulic system offers a linkage lift capacity of 12,000 kg. In addition, there is now a lower possibility of contamination with separate lines for transmission and auxiliary oil. Decompression levers allow for easier implement attachment.

New touch-screen terminal in the cab

A new Datatronic 5 touchscreen terminal has tractor, guidance, ISOBUS and camera functions and the ergonomic Multipad controller provides ease of operation for drivers. Sixteen LED work lights produce 34,000 lumens and turn night into day.

Redesigned fuel tank

The fuel tanks are now placed on the left hand side of the machine and are integrated with the steps leading to the cab so there is no need to position the bottom step as it is now setup from factory.

No after treatment is required with the Tier 2 version of the MF 8700S available in Australia and New Zealand. This means the total fuel tank capacity is 660 litres because the urea tank also holds fuel.

Easier and safer access to cab

Access to the cab is easy due to the large, conveniently-spaced steps. New handles in the tank also help access while rubber covers protect the steps.

For added safety, the non-slip tank top provides easy access so the operator can clean the windscreen or remove the GPS antenna.

Removable toolbox and added storage

A removable toolbox is seamlessly integrated into the top of the fuel tank. To increase storage space, the MF 8700S has only one high-capacity battery. This helps keep the cab free of tools with additional storage space in the new compartment.

MF 7614 updates

New MF 7614 models now come standard with a Dyna-6 transmission.

The 24-speed Dyna-6 transmission offers more power shifts to deliver better traction across a wide range of speeds.

With Dyna-6, the MF 7614 can reach a speed of 40km/h at 1550 rpm. These low engine speeds mean fuel savings during transport.

To handle these higher performance levels, customers can specify their MF 7614 with a 50km/h front suspension. High pressure hydraulic brakes also improve braking when travelling at faster road speeds.

A new heavy duty rear linkage has a lifting capacity of 8300kg to handle heavy implements with ease.

For precise track settings, the MF 7614 now has a heavy duty 10-stud bar axle. This means the 7614 offers the same axle and tyre options as the MF 7615 and MF 7715.
