Auction report: ‘Best of the rest’ in focus…at rain-sodden sale

Monday, June 10, saw the latest monthly Cambridge Machinery Sales auction take place at Cheffins Auctioneers’ sale grounds in Sutton, Cambridge (England).

This report focuses on what we like to call the ‘best of the rest’ – from a small, spartan-looking Renault right up to a huge, multi-tracked Case IH. It should be noted that a number of the tractors at this auction failed to sell, however (having not reached their reserves).

In accompanying articles, we look at a variety of big-name brands – to see how they fared under the hammer.

Tim Scrivener was at the auction for AgriLand to take these photographs and to note the key prices. All of the pictures in this report are from Monday’s auction.

Any statement of recorded hours may simply be a reflection of what’s visible on the tractor’s odometer or, if that’s not available, what’s claimed in the auction catalogue.
