Slurryquip unveils retrofit universal dribble bar

Northern Irish manufacturer Slurryquip has released two new products to make dealing with slurry an easier job.

The first is a tanker-mounted dribble bar that fits to the chassis rather than the rear door.

It can be attached to new or used tankers, but usually involves taking it to the Slurryquip factory for a bespoke fitting, rather than simply using a one-size-fits-all approach.The company says the connection is much safer when bolted onto the chassis, and being closely mounted to the wheels keeps tail swing to a minimum. All the tanker’s existing fill points are kept as before.

Slurryquip says its macerators have triangular blades that help provide an even flow and the motor unit is protected from slurry in case a leak occurs.There is also a stone trap to clear any foreign items and the booms have break-back sections.

Prices for the retrofit boom start at £7,700 for a 7.5m model, which includes collection, fitting and delivery in Ireland.

The firm’s second new item is a flow tracker to help make sure the target application rate is hit.

The unit mounts in the cab and automatically calculates a target speed for the operator to drive at, avoiding unnecessary guesswork.

The controller can also record applications across up to five individual fields, give farm totals at the end of a job and display the quantity of slurry left in the tanks. The starting price is £695.
