New utility vehicle lineup debuts

Polaris rolls out new machines for the 2019 season.

The off-road industry continues to be a solid performer for companies with products in the segment. And Polaris is working to maintain market share and keep pressure on competitors with its latest lineup. For 2019, the company is launching new line extensions, upgrades and tech.

For followers of the Polaris utility vehicle line, it may surprise you to learn the company has been marketing these machines for 20 years. Polaris will celebrate that milestone with a special edition Ranger XP 1000 EPS and a Ranger Crew XP 1000 EPS 20th Anniversary edition. The limited-edition machines offer special two-tone maroon and tan color options, and custom-embroidered seats.

To meet a growing market for more extreme machines, Polaris is rolling out the Ranger XP 1000 EPS and Ranger Crew XP 1000 EPS High-Lifter Edition machines. These are purpose-built for extreme mud performance and they’re equipped with factory-installed, redesigned half doors with all-new 1-inch water drains.

These machines feature 82-hp engines and have 11 inches of suspension travel for a smooth ride. The machines feature a 20% increase in overall driveline strength and a new geared reverse transmission to allow users to cut through mud pits. The 28-inch Outlaw 2 tires, arched A-arms and 13.5 inches of ground clearance offer enhanced use in rugged terrain.

Also new for 2019 is the Ride Command option. Ride Command technology is now available as a factory-installed package for Ranger XP 1000 EPS and Ranger XP 1000 EPS NorthStar Edition models. The 7-inch glove-touch display has built-in navigation, and front and rear cameras.

The system offers vehicle diagnostics; allows smartphone connectivity; and has factory-installed, in-dash speakers. And for navigation, a topographical map allows users to navigate trail overlays and drop waypoints to remember key locations, including campsites or a deer stand.

Color options for the 019 Ranger XP 1000 EPS and Ranger XP 1000 EPS NorthStar Edition models include four new choices, including Steel Blue, Pearl White, Magnetic Gray and Polaris Pursuit Camo.

The 2019 General gets new colors and graphics, including factory-installed bronze wheels on the Ride Command edition. The Sportsman all-terrain vehicle has two models — the 450 and 570 — and has new colors and improved power steering.
