Landini launch new vineyard and orchard tractors

LANDINI have launched four new tractor models to the Australian market through their Australian distributor Inlon, at dealer conference held in the Hunter Valley, NSW this month.

Inlon, sales manager, Garry Surman said the new lineup consisted of the new Rex 4, Four Series, Rex 90F and the Powerfarm RPS.

“The Rex 4 is a new narrow vineyard and orchard tractor,” he said.

“Traditionally on this type of tractor you don’t have a flat platform, it has a hump with the transmission tunnel.

“The Rex 4 has a completely flat operators platform, so in and out is easier and you don’t get the transmission heat or noise.

“It is also unique as it has electronic engine control, so you can maintain your engine performance and PTO speed more accurately under load variation.”

Mr Surman said the second model, the new 4 series tractor was available in two versions, a general farm, utility cabin tractor as well as a narrow vineyard and orchard tractor.

“The 4 series features a complete new cabin with a curved roof mount, which gives better visibility for loader work,” he said.

“It’s a very narrow hood-line, so you don’t have a big bulk head that obstructs the operator.”

Mr Surman said a key feature of the third model, the Rex 90F vineyard and orchard tractor, was the large 4.4 litre English Perkins engine.

“It has very high torque and performance,” he said.

“The Rex 90F can provide speeds between three and ten kilometres an hour, which is critical in orchard and vineyard work.”

Mr Surman said new Landini Powerfarm 110 reverse power shuttle (RPS) is a combination of loader tractor and general farm tractor for field work.

“It is also fitted with the 4.4 litre English Perkins engine, which gives it a massive 416 newton metres of torque,” he said.
