MTZ Equipment to Release MTZ 3623 Electro-Diesel Combination Tractor

MTZ Equipment announced recently the upcoming September release of its electric drive tractor, the MTZ 3623

The new MTZ 3623 features a high-efficiency diesel-electric combination motor that allows farmers to reduce their fuel consumption up to 15% per acre and up to 30% on the road without skimping on starting and working torque. The combination motor averages 87% efficiency between 1,000-3,600 rpm, whereas a typical CVT transmission peaks at 63%.

Farmers will save on maintenance costs, as the MTZ 3623 boasts a 30,000-hour maintenance-free gearbox, and an electric motor duty cycle whose life ranges from 30,000-200,000 hours. In the event of a breakdown, the MTZ 3623 comes standard with Windows-compatible diagnostic software, allowing farmers to perform their own diagnostics. Alternatively, the diesel engine can be replaced with batteries to power the electric motor component once the engine surpasses its lifespan (think “Tesla”).

Other advantages of the MTZ 3623 include a simple and reliable CVT-like transmission with fewer components, a 2-speed switch that allows for field or road driving, double the braking efficiency in comparison to a standard CVT and uncompromised pulling power, equivalent to a 420-hp CVT.

Options include:

Diesel engine cooling fan and radiator (recommended for high duty cycle operations)

Electric drive front PTO — 100 rpm

On-board standby electric power generation at 270 kWt

Front category III — 3-point hitch

Trimble GPS auto-steering

Duals and weights
