A Synergy of Parts & Systems 2

The four lines of defense

It's no surprise that rocks played a factor in developing a high-quality draper header when you consider our headquarters are in Saskatchewan. Rocks can cause some serious and expensive damage to the combine. Our AirFLEX draper header comes with 4 lines of defense against rocks entering the feeder house.

1. The air suspension provides a more sensitive reaction at the cutterbar than hydraulics or leaf springs. The more air you add, the more “float” you achieve.

2. A cutterbar with guards that are designed to run and float (like a ship hull). Not only does this provide the lowest cut around, but it also encourages the guard to go over the rock and not pick it up.

3. A larger transition plate helps prevent rocks from easily moving to the draper belt.

4. A user-friendly rock trap in front of the feeder deck captures rocks that do make their way to the draper belt.

This 4 line defense system ensures a smoother harvest without any delays or damage.

Another key feature is our efficient transport system. Sometimes roads don’t allow driving with a header attached to a combine. So our headers come with a two-piece transport cart. It features a strap system, which allows for less precise docking. The two-piece transport cart can be combined and towed empty. The transport system also features brakes & lights for road compliance.

The synergistic effects of these well-designed parts and systems make your harvesting experience smoother and safer, without compromising on speed.
