Interest of Ecobios® Vigne on resistance to water stress

For several years now, the world has been experiencing major climate change. These changes impact our lives but also agriculture.

More and more crops, such as vines, are suffering from drought. Irrigation problems in some regions accentuate this phenomenon.

Ecobios by Sofrapar, with more than 25 years of research focused on plant photosynthesis, has obtained highly significant results in the face of water stress (CNRS, AgroXP...)

At the CNRS, Ecobios® treatments applied to plants sensitive to water stress were subjected to a survival test by cutting off the water supply at T°=27°C and 16 hours of light, compared to untreated controls.

The control plants survived only 6 DAYS.

Ecobios® treated plants resisted 9 DAYS*.

* A further 40% were still able to recover after re-watering.

This drought resistance effect is confirmed by a field trial, in an area subject to water stress, monitored by Geoffrey Hamain of Agro XP

Applying Ecobios® will enable better development, both at root level and in terms of exchanges with the mycorrhizae which will bring water from a great distance.

Ecobios helps the plant to manage the temperature differences between day and night and to recover evaporation and redistribute it to the soil. Ecobios allows the plant to make the most of its carbon capture. As the roots go deeper, the soil has a better drainage capacity, which means that it is more humid. Finally, the plant tissue is better maintained and the membranes are more elastic.
