Zhuzhou, China, October 24, 2024 - the "Third International Summit on BDS Applications," hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission of China, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Transport of China, and the Hunan Provincial Government, was grandly opened in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province.

With the theme "Together with the World, Sharing BeiDou System," experts in the GNSS field, representatives from leading enterprises and government, foreign guests from the African Union, Russia, Laos, South Korea, France, Cote d 'Ivoire and other countries gathered to showcase significant achievements and applications of the BeiDou system and to promote technological exchange and cooperation. The summit aims to accelerate the marketization, industrialization, and internationalization of BeiDou applications.

· Powerful Product Lineup Draws Intense Attention

As a leading GNSS navigation and positioning technology company in China, ComNav Technology Ltd. (ComNav) was invited to participate in the summit, showcasing its high-precision positioning chips, modules, terminals, and other core GNSS series products and solutions at the exhibition. These new releases drew significant attention from visitors. Through detailed explanations and live demonstrations by the staff, attendees had the opportunity to experience firsthand the cutting-edge technology behind BeiDou-powered innovations.

· Selected as Top 10 BDS Application Scenarios

At the summit, a significant achievement was the release of the Top 10 BeiDou Application Scenarios. ComNav's XT100 High-precision Guidance System for Bulldozers was selected as exemplary case of digital construction. ComNav's projects, "Support the Republic of Mali in Accelerating the Development and Management of capital city Bamako and the Niger River", “Port Harcourt City Dock Construction Project, Nigeria”, “Surveying Application for the Dakar-Saint Louis Highway in Senegal” and "CORS Network Development in Uganda and Kenya," were selected as exemplary cases of BDS contribution to the economic and social development of African countries.

· Attending China-Africa BeiDou Cooperation Forum, Building the Belt and Road Initiative

At the roundtable discussions at the Second China-Africa BeiDou Cooperation Forum, the guest had in-depth exchanges on the opportunities and challenges of GNSS application in Africa, as well as the potential demand, prospects and measures suggestions of key industries and regions.

Mr. Peng Haiming, Director of ComNav's Overseas Business Department, highlighted that one of the current challenges facing GNSS development in Africa is the region's relatively underdeveloped infrastructure. This often leads to obstacles in various areas, including economic and resource constraints, during project implementation. Mr. Peng emphasized the importance of cultivating the African market by deeply engaging with user groups and developing GNSS products tailored to the specific needs of African customers. He also suggested that African governments provide greater policy support to further drive GNSS adoption and application across the continent.
