On July 8, 2024, ComNav Technology LTD. (ComNav) hosted an educational workshop in Shanghai, China. 32 representatives from Myanmar, Fiji, Nigeria, Egypt, Samoa, and Cuba of “BDS Technology and Products Application for Developing Countries” attended the workshop. The workshop aimed to provide training and exchange opportunities on BDS technology and its product applications for developing countries, promoting better utilization of BDS technology to drive economic and technological development, enhance international cooperation, and achieve mutual progress.

Highlights of the Event

Tour of ComNav Headquarters

Upon arrival at ComNav headquarters, they first toured the company's exhibition hall. Here, the ComNav team provided detailed explanations of various exhibits, covering the latest BDS technology in boards, terminal products, and solutions, as well as their practical applications in major global projects. They gained in-depth understanding of how these advanced technologies are applied in fields such as surveying and mapping, precision agriculture, personnel positioning, monitoring, digital construction, and infrastructure, experienced the high precision, reliability, and wide-ranging applications of BDS technology, realizing its potential to enhance productivity, improve safety, and promote sustainable development.

Visit to the Production Workshop

Next stop is production workshop, where they witnessed the manufacturing process firsthand. On-site demonstrations highlighted efficient production techniques and stringent quality control measures, giving the representatives a clear impression of the high quality and reliability of ComNav products.

Learning in Practice

The afternoon activities began with a comprehensive introduction to the company by Simon Peng, the Director of ComNav’s Overseas Business Department. He detailed the company’s development history, core technologies, and market achievements, as well as the company’s leading position in high-precision products and applications. Company experts also provided detailed introductions to innovations in Laser RTK, SLAM technology, and auto steering system. They showcased the high-efficiency and safety applications of Laser RTK in harsh environments, the real-time positioning and mapping capabilities of SLAM technology, and practical cases of achieving auto steering system and precision agriculture management through the BDS.

After the presentations, to deepen the understanding of new products, ComNav's technical engineers conducted field demonstrations of Venus Laser RTK, Mars Laser RTK, LS300 Laser Scanner, AG502 Autosteer System, Unmanned Surface Vessel. Through face-to-face guidance and hands-on operations, participants experienced the efficiency, precision, and convenience brought by these new technologies. During the exchanges, participants expressed that they greatly benefited from the workshop and looked forward to actively pursuing related cooperation in the future.
