Ambralight's AQUILA growlight for Smart Console
Hydroponic system with dimmable LED lighting
Smart Console S.r.l. is an Italian innovative start-up specialized in IoT solutions for precision agriculture and hydroponic system. In collaboration with Ambralight, the company integrated a high-performance LED lighting system into its flagship product: the Smart Grow Rack. This modular structure is designed for hydroponic indoor growing and supports a wide range of plants, from hydroponic microgreens to nursery seedlings, ornamental horticulture, and even small fruit-bearing crops.
Every phase is controlled through Smart Console Live, an integrated IoT platform. The system features dimmable LED lighting by Ambralight, closed-loop irrigation, and remote environment management.
Each growth parameter—light intensity, LED lighting spectrum, irrigation, temperature, and humidity—is managed via touchscreen and cloud platform. The Ambralight LED lamps used for this system are engineered for hydroponic systems, delivering a tailored light spectrum for each growth stage, from rooting to flowering. A patented light diffuser prevents scattering and algae formation, maintaining both cleanliness and lighting efficiency.
For the Smart Grow Rack, Smart Console selected Aquila, Ambralight’s advanced solution for hydroponic grow lights and vertical farming systems. Compact, modular, and highly efficient, Aquila integrates seamlessly into plant shelving systems, delivering uniform illumination and customizable light output.
Equipped with high-quality Osram LEDs, Aquila ensures powerful light performance even in environments without natural light. The dimmable LED lighting feature allows operators to fine-tune intensity throughout the growth cycle, optimizing each crop’s development in a controlled, repeatable manner.
Integrating Aquila into the Smart Grow Rack has delivered measurable improvements in crop quality and energy efficiency. With precise control of light intensity and spectral tuning, plants receive ideal conditions at each developmental stage, resulting in higher yield and uniformity.
The system supports the healthy growth of plants even in the complete absence of natural light—an essential feature for research environments and ornamental horticulture.
Combined with the water-saving capabilities of closed-loop irrigation, the solution significantly reduces waste and operational costs. The result is a sustainable, high-performance hydroponic system adaptable to a wide range of professional applications, from urban farming to agronomic research.
