New Mahindra tractors launched

MAHINDRA Agriculture and Auto Australia have announced two new models are available to dealers.

The new 7580 and 7590 come it at 62 and 68 kilowatts (80 and 92 horsepower) respectively, and weigh in over 3.6 tonnes each.

A Mahindra spokesperson said over the last decade, Mahindra had forged a reputation for toughness and durability, based around the companies historical alignment with steel trading.

“This starts with design, it comes from incorporating quality steel,” they said.

“Steel has been the DNA of Mahindra since the company started in 1945 as a steel trading company.”

The spokesperson said Mahindra still retained a steel trading group, primarily focused on the import of flat steel products and sourcing steel from mills in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

“Quality steel is the founding pillar behind Mahindra’s tractor strength and durability,” they said.

“It creates strong, weighty, easy access platforms for farm work, allowing better traction in multiple soil conditions, while also providing a solid operating platform in conjunction with good sized wheel equipment for a more stable operation in hilly conditions.

“A strong weighty platform in conjunction with good hydraulics also provides better lift capacity on front end self-level loaders and three-point linkage.”

The spokesperson said the 7580 and 7590 have retained many of the popular features of other Mahindra tractors, including quality steel, good sized wheel equipment and hydraulics, solid planetary four by four reduction, but also included notable improvements.

These include an increased tractor weight of 3.6 tonne, 12.4 by 24 fronts and 18.4 by 30 rears.

“At the heart of both machines is a turbocharged inter-cooled four cylinder in-line diesel designed for three things, reliability, fuel efficiency and a big flat torque curve,” they said.

“Both models feature twin remotes, two-speed PTOs and even heavier builds for greater traction and longevity, and best of all, they exemplify the most famous Mahindra traits, uncomplicated design and operation, ruggedness and versatility in any situation, but most importantly bullet proof no nonsense simplicity.”
