Mahindra 3650 PowerShuttle tractor launched

NEW TO AUSTRALIA, the Mahindra 3650 PowerShuttle tractor promises to push, pull and lift more then its competition.

Launched by Mahindra Ag and Auto Australia, the newest model in the 35 Series features a Tier IV direct injection engine that does not require a diesel particulate filter (DPF), reducing costs whilst still providing cleaner emissions.

Mahindra said the proprietary technology, known as mCRD was the result of a $30 million investment into its Tier IV engines aiming for a user-friendly solution.

“This means no excess heat or burn off and less complexity for the operator,” it said.

“It reduces gas emissions by over 360 tonnes per year, meets the new Tier IV emissions standards without the need for a DPF.

“Therefore no back-pressure monitor and filter cleaning, meaning less maintenance required and no expensive filters to replace.”

Mahindra said the four-cylinder engine is capable of 36.5 kilowatts (49 horsepower) at 2800 revolutions per minute, managed through a power shuttle, wet clutch, shifting.

The company claimed the quick hitch and attach design on the front self-levelling loader makes the switch between buckets and pallet forks a simple job.

“Furthering the convenience aspect, the Mahindra 3650 features category one and two ball ends that are easily adjusted to the implement size by rotating the ball,” it said.

“Additionally, the three-point linkage has telescopic lower links and a class leading linkage lift capacity of 1402kg at the ball ends.”

Mahindra said while overall the tractor was designed for durability, it still included comfort features such as increased leg room through side-shift gear controls and suspended brake and clutch pedals.
