A new chapter of cross-manufacturer collaboration
Osnabrück, September 2017 – the Competence Center ISOBUS e.V. (CCI) introduces the CCI 1200, its latest ISOBUS terminal. The 12.1" display provides a flexible layout for adaptation to the uses and multi-touch operation. Two integrated universal terminals (UT) enable parallel operation of two ISOBUS machines. Apps for automatic Section Control and variable Rate Control ensure precise application. The innovative help system provides information on the operation at every point.
After four years of intensive cooperation between the companies Grimme, Kuhn, Lemken, Krone and Rauch and thousands of test hours, the CCI 1200 is ready for the market. "The new terminal shows once again that Teamwork also works successfully among competitors and the customer is finally getting a better product," says Moritz Roeingh, Product Manager at CCI. According to Roeingh, the member companies have experience from planting to growing until harvesting. This makes the CCI 1200 really universal.
With its 12.1" widescreen display, the CCI 1200 offers plenty of space for simultaneous viewing of multiple applications. Thanks to the narrow frame, it can nevertheless be installed compactly in the cabin. Depending on the application, the driver can customize his layout individually. The standard view shows two applications next to each other in the same size. For example, the camera or the map view of the Section Control is shown next to the UT. The driver can choose freely whether he wants to use this view in portrait or landscape format. The third option is the Maxi-view. An enlarged view with particularly large keys.
The CCI 1200 has a completely new user interface. Multi-touch operation in combination with the new menu navigation provides easy operation at smartphone level. The flat design of the menus reduces the number of necessary clicks. The symbols on the keys have been adopted by the well-known CCI 50/100/200 terminals, so that even experienced CCI users can quickly find their way to the new operation. All settings are summarized in a central area. Setting help explains step by step more complex tasks, e.g. the choice of the correct delay time for the automatic Section Control.
2x Universal Terminal
The market is increasingly offering more ISOBUS machines, which are used in combinations. An example is the maize planting with a front tank for the fertilizer dosing and a planter in the rear. Two full featured universal terminals (UT) are already integrated into the CCI 1200. Both machines are simultaneously displayed and can be operated in parallel.
Up to 254 Sections, the CCI 1200 switches on and off automatically on an already worked area or a pre-drawn headland. For a wide range of uses, seed drill, planter, crop protection sprayers, fertilizer spreaders, universal spreaders, liquid manure tankers, mowers and rakes are supported. Tramline Control also automatically switches the tram lines using the GPS position. The variable application with maps in ISO-XML or shape format is even more precise with the new Control Points. Until now, even with very large working widths, the target rate is only taken from the application map at the current position of the tractor and transferred to the machine. For example, if a fertilizer spreader supports control points, the CCI 1200 determines a specific target rate for the left and right dosages.
The help system allows the driver to inform himself about the currently open application and its functions as well as settings. With graphics and texts important functions are explained, whenever the driver needs them. Long scroll and search no longer required, direct links in the applications immediately call the right information.
The CCI 1200 Terminal is available from Rauch, Kuhn, Krone, Lemken and Grimme from Agritechnica. From mid-2018 it will be available from other CCI member companies.
Competence Center ISOBUS e.V. (CCI) is an Osnabrück-based association founded in 2009 by the companies Amazone, Grimme, Krone, Kuhn, Lemken and Rauch. The CCI and its members co-operate in developing innovative agricultural electronics. Apart from the development of ISOBUS terminals and software, the primary focus is on the participation of the establishment and advancement of the ISOBUS standard. ISOBUS standardises both the communication between tractors and implements, as well as data transfer between mobile terminals and agricultural office software. To date, Pöttinger, Bergmann, Anedo, Eckelmann, Jetter, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Bednar, Peeters Landbouwmachines, Ropa, Zunhammer, Dinamica Generale, FarmFacts, Fliegl and Yanmar have joined the association.
