RBR and AxleTech Introduce Variable Track Axle with 4-Wheel Steer

Partnering together AxleTech International and RBR Enterprise have developed and introduced a variable track axle for RBR application equipment.

The new Vector 300 row crop applicator with AxleTech Variable Track Axles (VTA) features mechanically-driven steerable axles that allow for a full 15-inch extension per side.

There are five preset track widths: 114, 120, 132, 138, and 144 inches, as well as custom settings.

The option is available on all models, and the VTA can adjust up to 30” using the touch screen control in the cab. The system maintains a capacity rating of 32,000 lb. at any track width within its range. And the VTA can adjust the width in less than 30 seconds.

The VTA option includes 4-wheel steering, which when engaged provides the rear wheels to follow the same path as the front when the steering wheel is turned more than 6 degrees and the machine speed is under 7 mph.

The VTA also features crab steering and speed compensating steering.
