Stoltzfus Adds 10-Ton Spreader

Stoltzfus Spreaders adds a 10-ton capacity spreader to its RedHawk line, the CU-100.

The new 10-ton Stoltzfus ground driven lime spreader has a 212- cubic-foot hopper. It features the industry’s only fully welded Unibody construction. The 53-degree side slopes, 24-inch carbon steel slat-style drag chain and engineered drop pan work in combination to prevent bridging, allowing consistent material flow for true multi- purpose spreading.

The Stoltzfus CU-100 is constructed from CorTen weatherizing steel, and is available in 304 stainless steel. Engineered for the heavy load, the spreader features heavy-duty structural tube steel frame and rugged walking beam suspension. The spreader has larger 21.5L 14-ply tires and options include tarps, lights, corner pockets and the Stoltzfus exclusive material shredder.

The dual contact press wheel, hydraulically raised and lowered, delivers the power to break out packed damp lime loads. Hydraulically powered twin 24-inch, 7-gauge steel spinners are top driven, isolating the drives from corrosive chemicals and the shock of material pounding on their disks.

The RedHawk ground-driven line of spreaders includes 4-ton, 5-ton and 8-ton models. These spreaders are designed for multi-use application .

Stoltzfus introduced its first wet lime spreader in 1976.
